Top Ten Title Sequence (End Shot)
My flat mate kindly offered to be Superman revealing his costume. It took a number of takes to get the right kind of shot. We had trouble trying to get the speed right as he walked towards the camera. I chose to use Helevetica as the font for the title as I couldn't find the Superman font. I created the simple triangle in Illustrator, with the title I superimposed it onto the chest of the stand in Superman.

Superman Comic Book / 1960's Intro
The Hulk Intro 1967, 1982 & Transformation Clip
I like the theatrical theme tune to the 1982 sequence because it doesn't mention the Hulks name. I could possibly use it as a back drop to my own animation. Note.. either work to or somehow remove exterior sounds such as gun shots.
Spiderman Candy Sticks
Spiderman Intro 1980's / Spiderman Brawl
When comparing the title sequences from the 60's and 80's, there isn't much difference in the way they come across, they are both cheesy. I have found that the sound track to each opening sequence mentions the superheroes name in some sort of song. This will be hard for my animation as I am covering a wide range of superheroes. The sound track needs to replicate the upbeat tempo music that appears on Batman and Spiderman sequences.
Batman Comic Book / 1966 Intro
I have acquired the comic books of 8 of the top ten superheroes. I have selected three images from a Batman comic that I can work with digitally. I want to replicate the look of the 1960's comic strips and title sequences, particularly the television introductions like the clip at the bottom of this post from 1966. The animation style is quirky and simple which is how I intend to use After Effects rather than become bogged down with compacted sequences and animations.
